Junior Rangers - registration Opens September 1st!!!

This program is for boys and girls ages 4 – 7 that are new to hockey and have little to no skating ability.  This is typically the level that all new players start at (unless they've attended a Learn to Skate and are ready for the Mite level).  Practices are held on Sunday mornings and allow kids to try hockey in a fun, casual environment without a significant time or financial commitment.   A limited supply of starter equipment sets are available for purchase for $25 and can be reserved at time of registration.  If you have questions, please contact Curt Smith, Recruiting & Retention Director @ recruitment@flhockey.org

Registration for this program will open on September 1st

*** More information to come ***

Mite 1 level

This level is generally for boys &  girls entering 1st grade who have 1 - 2 years of skating / hockey experience and have basic skating skills (ie they can glide on their skates and are comfortable on the ice).  Players are required to wear full hockey gear including mouth guard (loaner equipment available but supplies are limited).  Jerseys and socks are provided.  Mite skaters are divided into teams and will eventually participate in a limited number of half-ice games and ‘jamborees’.  Practices are more organized but with a focus on fun.  Schedules will vary from week to week but most practices occur on Saturdays and Sundays.  Participants can expect 30+ hours of ice time during the season which will result in significant improvement in skating ability and the potential to advance to the Mite 2 level the following season.
