Coaches Corner

The coaches corner is a place to enhance your sports education. The goal of this area is to assist you in developing better players and better people for future success at whatever level you might be at. Our goal is for you to learn one new thing each time you visit this section. If you have any questions, suggested topics, or articles to contribute to this area please contact us.

Coaching Education Program Requirements

Coaches can sign for Level Clinics at www.usahockey.com. District 2 will be holding Level 1 & Level 2 Clinics in White Bear Lake. They will be limited to 50 Participants. Coaches are able to sign up for other clinics across the metro.
 
Oct. 15th - Level 1 & 2 - Central Middle School, White Bear Lake
Nov. 5th - Level 1 & 2 - Central Middle School, White Bear Lake
Level 3 - TBD


Level of Play Requirements
Mite/U8 Level 1
Squirts/U10 Level 1 & 2
Peewees/U12 Level 1 & 2 & 3
Bantams through Jr C Level 1 & 2 & 3
Jr A & B Level 4

Level 4 coaches are exempt from further requirements. All other levels need to re certify after 3 years or move up a level. Level 3 certification is available on line through the USA Hockey web site. All coaches need to be certified top the proper level.

  • Lost Card? A form for replacement is available on the Minnesota Hockey Web site in the coaches section.
  • Clinics are listed on the USA Hockey Web site. Currently only four clinics are listed. Many more clinics will be posted in the next several weeks.
  • You have until late December to attain the proper level.

Jr. Gold Team - Game Feb. 10 at 8:50pm

Jr. Gold Team is hosting Sr. Night on Friday, Feb 10th at 8:50 pm.  This should be a great game Forest Lake vs. Blaine.  We will be honoring 15 seniors!

Please come and enjoy a great evening of hockey.

Certification Deadline

All coaches must be certified to their appropriate level, by December 31st. It is important that you carry your Certification Card with you any time you are on the ice.
