RETURNING PLAYERS

• Bantam, Peewee, 12U, Squirt, and 10U - July 31, 2024
  • $250 late fee after 7/31
• Mite and 8U - August 15th, 2024
  • $100 late fee after 8/15
• Jr. Gold & 15U - September 15, 2024
  • No late fee

RULES PERTAINING TO TRAVEL TEAMS

A portion of the registration fee for Jr. Gold, Bantam, 15U, Peewee, 12U, Squirt, and 10U players are estimated and will vary based on team size and actual costs. A preliminary team budget will be provided to team managers in October, with a final bill issued at the end of the season. Any additional costs or refunds will be handled by each team's manager.

The registration fee DOES NOT cover: 

• Incidental team expenses
• Jersey fees (10U/Squirt & older)
• Tryout fees (10U/Squirt & older)
• 2024 Fall Clinic Fee
• Volunteer Hours Program Fee (Dibs)
• Players from outside our association boundaries must complete a waiver form before participating in Forest Lake Hockey activities.

In order to participate in tryouts or your teams first ice session we must have the following:

• Birth Certificate
• Volunteer Hours Program Registration completed

All past due invoices or fees must be paid in full to FLHA prior to registration.  Failure to pay them before registration will result in forfeiture of all fees paid during registration and your registration being cancelled.

Mite & 8U Level 

All players that register for Mites & 8U level 1 through level 3 will be evaluated to insure they are in the proper skill level.  The top players in the Mites & 8U level 3 group will be given an invitation  to be evaluated for the Level 4 teams at the end of the  level 3 evaluations.  Only those players that are given an invitation will be eligible to be evaluated for the level 4 teams.   There is no evaluation fee for the Mite and 8U teams.

Bantam, 15U, Peewee, 12U, Squirt, & 10U

All players participating in tryouts must complete registration, including the tryouts registration by September 15,  2024 in order to be eligible.  Players not registered for tryouts will be placed on the lowest level team for their age group. A $150 tryout fee applies to skaters, while goalies can participate in tryouts for free.

High School Tryouts

Any player trying out for a High School Hockey program while on a Forest Lake Hockey Association (FLHA) team or co-op team (e.g., "Forest Lake/Chisago Lakes Rangers") must submit the Intent to Tryout Declaration form. This form is required to be considered for a refund of current year's FLHA registration dues if selected for the High School team. The forms are available below.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

Each player needs their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number to register with FLHA. If your child does not yet have one, please follow the steps below: 

• CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration (USAH). PRINT and SAVE the confirmation code(s) provided by USA Hockey. 
• Return to this page and click the Registration link below. You’ll then be prompted to enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Number obtained in Step 1.
• NOTE:  In order to play in Forest Lake Hockey Association, you must live in the boundaries of the Forest Lake School District.  Minnesota Hockey Participation Rule has been put in place to ensure the integrity of our community-based model. If you live outside the Forest Lake School District, you must get a waiver, keep in mind not all waivers are granted.  For more details see the press release from MN Hockey, click HERE

Players registering as goalies at the Squirt, 10U, Peewee, 12U, & Bantam levels will receive a $400 discount.
