MANDATORY DISTRICT 2 COACHES AND MANAGERS MEETING SCHEDULE

Coaches and managers, please mark your calendar and plan to attend the appropriate MANDATORY District 2 meeting.

• Meetings are MANDATORY for all Coaches and Managers.  
• Conducted at White Bear Lake South Campus High School (3551 McKnight Rd). 
• Discussions to include: rules, rule changes, website changes, scorebook/box procedures and schedules 
• Failure of the rostered Head Coach AND Team Manager from each team will result in a one (1) game suspension for the Head Coach to be served in the first league game.

Parents are required to facilitate 3 activities at Squirt/U10 level and above. Below are detailed videos and instructions. Before your turn, take time to practice! Reach out to your Team Manager with questions in advance of your scheduled game duty.

All travel teams are required to have locker room attendants. Locker Room attendants are required by USA Hockey to protect and keep our young athletes safe. Forest Lake requires 2 Locker Room attendants while 2 or more players are in the locker room. This can be a parents or coaches. Locker Room attendants require the following:

1. Register as a Volunteer with USA Hockey to receive a USA Hockey confirmation number. Registration is annually required and no cost to you. Save your USA Hockey number as you will need it for additional requirements.
2. Complete FLHA Volunteer Registration which requires your USA Hockey confirmation number. Required annually. Once you have created a profile and provide us with your USA Hockey number, we will be able to help you track your other requirements.
3. Submit an Electronic Background Screening which is required every 2 years. If the number doesn't auto-populate, the Self Registration ID Numbers is 35615801. This needs completion before you are allowed to serve as a Locker Room Attendent.
4. Complete USA Hockey's SafeSport Training which is required annually. In some cases, this will be a "refresher" course, so don't let yours expire!

Locker Room Attendants are eligible to be reimbursed for their background check. To be eligible for reimbursement, your receipts must be uploaded using the submission links below. Email submissions of receipts will not be accepted.

Team Managers can contact the Secretary to be added list the ice on the Ice Store chat.

To recognize tournament victories and celebrate the fun teams have on and off the ice (Volunteering, Fundraising, etc), we would like to share via the FLHA website and social platforms. To do so, we need your help in completing the following:

1. Include a Photo(s) of the team.
2. Include a short writeup. It does not have to be long, simply a paragraph is fine. Include what team(s) participated in or games played, scores and if possible, key play(s) and/or player(s) of the game/tournament. Use previous posts as examples. 
3. Email the Communications Coordinator or create a News article on the teams page and let the Communications Coordinator know to get it on the front page of the website as well as Facebook.

Use this template to create labels using Avery 5163 that allow team managers to quickly complete a scoresheet for league and tournament games.
